The Second Thurifer descends the altar, and the MC gives the thurible to the priest. The First Thurifer walks around to the side of the priest opposite the MC. At this time, the First Acolyte takes the book off of the altar. The First Thurifer and the MC walk with the priest as he incenses the altar. See Figure VI

Once the priest finishes incensing the Epistle side of the altar (the right side), the First Acolyte places the book back on the altar and returns to his position. The MC incenses the priest while the First Thurifer stands next to him, as shown in Figure VII.

The Introit
When the MC is finished, the servers move to their standard positions as shown in Figure VIII. The priest then reads the Introit on the Epistle side of the altar.

The Kyrie
The priest moves to the center of the altar to recite the Kyrie.
