We have received from Fr. Edward Robinson a copy of his meditations on the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary with permission to use on the Pro-life web page.
    The First Joyful Mystery:
    THE ANGEL'S MESSAGE TO MARY
Just as the Virgin Mary accepted God's invitation to become the mother of Our Redeemer, despite the difficulties which that would involve, let us pray that all parents will welcome their unborn children as gifts from God.  May they be strengthened by confidence in God's providence, that they will have His constant help in bearing and nurturing their child.  Let us, as pro-lifers, pledge ourselves to be the instruments of God's loving care for all parents, especially for mothers who are experiencing distressful pregnancies.  May the Archangel Gabriel, who brought the message to Mary, bring the message of joy and encouragement to expectant mothers who are tempted by abortion.
    The Second Joyful Mystery:
    MARY VISITS HER COUSIN ELIZABETH
Mary came in haste to assist her elderly cousin, Elizabeth, who was experiencing an unusual pregnancy. We ask our blessed Mother Mary, to be the patroness of our own pro-life efforts to assist pregnant women who are needful of our help.  In this mystery we salute Jesus and John, as yet unborn, as standard bearers for all children who are waiting to be born.  We hold them up as living proof of personhood within the womb. Let us pray that all mothers might treasure in their hearts the sentiments of Mary's MAGNIFICAT. . . . "My soul doth magnify the Lord.  He has done great things for me, and holy is His name!"
    The Third Joyful Mystery:
THE BIRTH OF JESUS, OUR REDEEMER
As we ponder that first Christmas Day when God's mercy came down upon a sinful world, we rejoice at the birth of a Child.  As we attempt to give thanks for that most precious moment in our salvation's history, let us pray that every pregnant woman, and her child's father, might look forward to a joyful birthday for their child.  May they see in their child, as yet unborn, an opportunity to share with another human being the opportunity of knowing and loving God for all eternity and of enjoying the happiness and challenges which God wishes for that child to experience here, on earth!  Let us pray for family life to be re-established in our day, upon the enduring example of the Holy Family of Jesus, His mother, Mary, and Joseph.
    The Fourth Joyful Mystery:
JESUS IS PRESENTED IN THE TEMPLE
In conformity with Old Testament law, the infant Jesus, as the "first-born" of the family, was brought to the temple by His mother, Mary, and his foster-father, Joseph, to be consecrated to the Lord. Let us pray that all parents will look upon themselves as partners with Our Creator, in the conception of their children, and generously share them with Him.  With confidence in God's providence, may all parents rejoice in having such a precious gift to offer to the good God Who has given so much of Himself to us.
    The Fifth Joyful Mystery:
JESUS IF FOUND AMONG THE TEACHERS
Jesus, at age twelve, is so absorbed in listening to the religious teachers and asking them questions, in the business of His Heavenly Father, that He is temporarily separated from His human family.  But they know where to look for Him!  May all parents prepare their children, by word and example, to be regular participants at their churches, and to maintain continuous friendship with Our Lord, through prayer, Sacraments and discipleship.  We pray that this wholesome way of living will totally replace lifestyles which promote legalized abortion.
