The Twenty-Sixth Day of October
- At Rome, St. Evaristus, Pope and Martyr, who empurpled the Church of God with his blood
under the Emperor Hadrian.
- In Africa, the holy martyrs Rogatian (Priest) and Felicissimus, who were crowned with an
illustrious martyrdom in the persecution of Valerian and Gallienus, and of whom St. Cyprian
writes in his letter to the Confessors.
- At Nicomedia, the holy martyrs Lucian, Florius and their com-panions.
- At Narbonne, France, St. Rusticus, Bishop and Confessor, who flourished in the reigns of the
Emperors Leo and Valentinian.
- At Salerno, St. Gaudiosus, Bishop.
- At Pavia, St. Fulk, Bishop.
- Likewise, St. Quadragesimus, a Subdeacon, who raised a dead man to life.
And elsewhere many other holy martyrs, confessors and holy virgins. Thanks be to God.
