  1. Feast of the Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
  2. At Tarsus in Cilicia, the holy women Zenais and Philonilla, sisters, who were kinsfolk of St. Paul the Apostle and his disciples in the faith.
  3. In the neighbourhood of Vexin in France, the passion of the holy martyrs Nicasius, Bishop of Rouen, Quirinus, a Priest, Scubiculus, a Deacon, and Pientia, a Virgin, under the governor Fescennius.
  4. At Besançon in France, St. Germanus, Bishop and Martyr.
  5. Likewise, the passion of SS. Anastasius, a priest, Placid, Genesius and their companions.
  6. At Tarsus in Cilicia, the birthday of the holy martyrs Tharacus, Probus and Andronicus, who suffered a filthy prison for a long time in the persecution of Diocletian; thrice were they put to the torture with various pains and torments, and finally obtained the crown of glory, by beheading, for their witness for Christ.
  7. In the Thebaid, St. Sarmatus, a disciple of St. Antony the Abbot, who was slain for Christ's sake by the Saracens.
  8. At Uzès in France, St. Firminus, Bishop and Confessor.
  9. At Calozzo, in the diocese of Asti, formerly that of Pavia, St. Alex-ander Sauli, Bishop and Confessor of the Clerks Regular of St. Paul. He was of noble birth and renowned for his virtues, learning and miracles. Pope Pius X placed him, in the Canon of Saints.
  10. In the monastery of Aghaboe in Ireland, St. Canice, Priest and Abbot.
  11. At Lier in Belgium, the death of St. Gummar, Confessor.
  12. At Rennes in France, St. Emilian, Confessor.
  13. At Verona, St. Placidia, Virgin.

And elsewhere many other holy martyrs, confessors and holy virgins. Thanks be to God.
