Recent Happenings
On February 23, Sister Patricia Ridgley, with Sisters Roberta and Charles Marie, spoke in Irving to the San Antonio Province of the NCCW on "The Faces of Poverty in Africa Today."

Sister Cecile Faget and Sister Dorothy Ann Flori assist with the CCE at the First Korean Martyrs Church in Fort Worth.
Sister Donna Ferguson was one of the Spiritual Directors at the Busy Students Retreat at A&M St. Mary Catholic Center, February 10 to Feburary 14.
Sister Charles Marie and Sister Immaculee Mukabugabo spoke to classes at Nolan High School on April 25.

Sister Rosemary Stanton gave a retreat to Refugee Women in Fort Erie, Canada, on April 27, 2008.

 

Sister Rosemary Stanton addressed the Single Again group at the Catholic Renewal Center on May 9.
The students of Sister Charles Marie and Elizabeth Bass gave a piano recital at OLV Center on May 10.
Father Theodore Bradower, TOR, said his last Sunday Mass at OLV Center on May 11, 2008.
Sister Donna Ferguson died at OLV Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on May 29, 2008 at the age of 58.

On June 14, children from St. Thomas Parish in Fort Worth danced for the Sisters at OLV Center.

From June 22 to June 28, Rev. William J. Jerema, of Mercy Center, gave a retreat to our Sisters, Oblates and Associates at OLV Center.

Our Retreatants displayed our banner opposing torture as they stood on Hemphill St.

Three of our sisters will begin a new SSMN ministry at St. Jude Parish in Mansfield, TX, in August, 2008.

Sister Patricia Ste. Marie, Provincial, and her new Provincial Council are beginning their work for the next three years.

Sister Louise Smith is working with Mrs. Joyce Higgans, of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas Archives, to prepare a doll for the Sister of Saint Mary Exhibit in the Archives.
