Ricky at Pantego Studios

This picture shows a young Ricky Lynn Gregg laying down guitar tracks at Pantego Studios for the song that thrust Savvy into the N. Texas music scene limelight, "I Wonder Why."

At the moment this picture was taken in early 1980, Ricky had no idea this song would end up on Q102's More Texas Crude Album, ultimately winning the band the opening spot on the 1980 Texxas Jam lineup along with the Eagles, Cheap Trick, Foreigner, April Wine, Sammy Hagar, and Christopher Cross.
